You really not need a vacuum for wood floors. All you need is a Swiffer Sweeper and Swiffer Wet Jet. Swiffer Wet Jets are wonderful. That dispense liquid enough - you decides how much - there are not stupid rinse and easy to use. Best of all, do not enter any room to talk about Wet Jet and only costs about $ 20.00! Also makes a Swiffer dust mop vacuum cleaners, too, but I have not used. Do not bother buying the wet cloths to the Swiffer broom. They are too expensive and not working well. I need a good quality vacuum that is not expensive. I have a dog, so I was thinking about a pet hair cleaner. Can someone give me some suggestions?

I have the Eureka Boss SmartVac. It was reasonably priced and does a great job! I have a dog that sheds a little, and it gets everything! It also has a feature that can turn off the beater bar so you can vacuum your floor without scratching it. It's a Consumer Reports Best Buy. It is the best vacuum I have used, and I've used a lot (I clean houses). Good luck!
