Sears gave me advice about his strange system inteliclean Kenmore Progressive vacuum cleaner. Ever heard of this?

Sears had a sale only from vacuum cleaners and have their model with 35,923 vertical progressive system "inteliclean. This is the great rated by Consumer Reports. I used a few days, and it seemed fine, except the inteliclean system could begin to act strange after 30 minutes of use. It would fall into the higher power mode and get "stuck" there. Even in areas that previously went and felt clean. Temporarlily I could arrange for the change in mode of carpet, then again, but after a time to hang again. Changeling, and the sales associate tells me that not using the system inteliclean the first times I vacuum. When asked why, she says "I do not know what is the reason we tell our customers." Sounds pretty strange to me. There is nothing in the manual about it. Does anyone else received this advice from Sears in their vacuum equipped inteliclean? If so, what is the reason?
